  1. Q: What are the payment break ups for BRIM in 2017?

A: payments will be given on the following dates:

  1. Q: If I have not yet claimed my payment of BRIM 2017, then will I be able to claim it now?

A: NO, you cannot claim your pending payment any more as the payout closing date was 30th Nov, 2016.

  1. Q: I applied for the BRIM 2016, but I was unable to fill up the bank account details. How will I receive the payment?

A: You will be receiving the payment in the form of cash voucher. The residency department and SRC / SUK will be looking into the matter. You will be able to cash the voucher in any branch of the Maybank / CIMB bank / BSN / Public Bank.

  1. Q: I have received the pass to attend the BRIM payout ceremony, but in case I am unable to join the ceremony, how can I apply for the voucher?

A: The payout will be under the management of Residency Office / SRC / SUK and District Office. If you have any query regarding BRIM payout, you can contact them or contact any branch of IRB to get a letter of approval so that you can discharge your voucher from BSN later. The approval letter application must be obtained from:

  1. Q: I have got different vouchers with different amounts. How to en-cash the correct voucher from the bank?

A: You need to get the correct pass from the IRBM in order to en-cash the correct voucher from the BSN.

  1. Q: The name given in the letter and the approved pass is wrong one. What do I need to do?

A: In case you get a letter with wrong name, still you can encash the voucher only if you have your identity card the id number on the letter or the pass is correct. You just need to carry both of them to encash from the bank.

  1. Q: Documents required for the bank work?

A: To get the payout from the bank, you need to submit your identity card and your letter of approval in any of the branches of Maybank / CIMB bank / BSN / Public Bank. If you not able to en-cash the amount, then you need to submit the original BRIM pass and an identity card to get the payment from the BSN.

  1. Q: I received a voucher from BRIM 2015 authority but I am unable to make the payout as the bank says it has already been cashed. What shall I do now?

A: You need to lodge a police complain and send it to the following address:

  1. Q: I have received a confirmation mail from BRIM authority regarding the payment being deposited to my account. But I have not received any amount in my account. What do I need to do?

A: You need to first check your bank account thoroughly to check whether the money ash been deposited to your account or not. In case you have not received the amount or there has been a fraudulent you must report it to the police. After that you need to send the copy to the address:

  1. Q: If any receiver or BRIM is sick or disabled or in the hospital, then is there any chance that a representative will be able to take the payment?

A: If you send someone, on behalf of yourself to receive the money, then he or she needs to carry the following documents:

  1. Letter of confirmation revceived
  2. Id card of the receiver both copy and original
  3. Id card of the representative both copy and original
  4. Letter from hospital or disability
  1. Q: Can a Waris of a person who died on or before 30th Nov, 2014 claim the money?

A: Beneficiaries will not be able to fill up the lawsuits of BRIM 2015

  1. Q: Can a Waris make the payout on behalf of a person, who died after or on 1st Dec, 2014?

A: Beneficiaries of a person, who is already registered in the BRIM database, can apply to withdraw the amount of BRIM. If the receiver was single, then only his or her guardians or parents or siblings can apply for the BRIM cashout to the bank. But they will have to submit few documents:

  1. Voucher or letter of confirmation received
  2. Death certificate (Original)
  3. The Id card of the representative
  1. Q: What to do about the unclaimed payments of 2nd and 3rd installments?

A: In case the 2nd and 3rd installments, which will be unclaimed, the beneficiaries registered in the system will get the payout of BRIM according to the following table:

  1. Q: Can any of the family members apply for the payout of BRIM on behalf of a person who is currently in the prison?

A: The wife, husband or the children of the person concern can apply for the payment but will need to carry the following documents:

  1. Certificate or the voucher received by the original person
  2. A letter of authorization from the prison
  3. A certificate to prove the relationship
  4. Id  card of the representative
  1. Q: can any of the family members of a person who is currently out of country apply for the payment of BRIM?

A: Yes, the children or husband or wife of that person can claim the payment but will need to have the following documents:

  1. Letter of confirmation or the voucher received by the person concern
  2. Any proof that the person is out of the country
  3. If card of the representative
  1. Q: Who can be benefitted from the Scheme of Death Benefit?

A: The recipient of BRIM 2015 scheme, under the categories of senior citizens and households, who died during the 1st Jan, 2015 and 31st Dec, 2015

  1. Q: What will be the payment mode of Funeral Scheme?

A: The payment under the Funeral Scheme can be withdrawn from any of the branches of NSB. They will need to submit the following documents:

  1. Death certificate of the recipient
  2. ID card of the beneficiary
  1. Q: In case the beneficiary is not Malaysian, a foreigner, what shall he do to be eligible to claim the money?

A: In case the beneficiary is not Malaysian, a foreigner, he or she must have father or mother or children, or husband or wife who resides in Malaysia.

  1. Q: What is the age limit of a person to qualify as a beneficiary?

A: To be a beneficiary, there is no such age limits set by the authority of BRIM.

  1. Q: What is the amount of Funeral Scheme to be paid and what is the time of the payment?

A: The beneficiary will be receiving an amount of RM1000 and he or she can make the withdrawal from the 2nd of Feb, 2015

  1. Q: Will the beneficiary be receiving the funeral scheme as well as the 2nd and 3rd installment of the unclaimed amount?

A: No the beneficiary will not receive the 2nd and 3rd installment payments which are set to be paid on:

  1. Q: Can the Waris of a person, who died before or on 31st Dec, 2014 claim the funeral scheme benefit?

A: The Waris will not be able to apply but the beneficiaries can claim the amount under Funeral Scheme.

  1. Q: Someone else has used my information for the withdrawal of BRIM. What shall I do?

A: You need to report the incident to the police and need to submit ID copy and certificate of marriage to the branch of IRB.

  1. Q: If a person provide wrong information then what will be the consequences?

A: The person can face a charge against him under the section 193 (act 574) and can also face an imprisonment up to 3 years and also a fine as well.

  1. Q: If one is blacklisted due to en-cashing the voucher for 2 times, what shall he do?

A: You need to contact under the following address:
